Nike Air Max Packaging by Scholz & Friends

Although footwear design has seen its share of progressions over the past few decades, the same can’t be said for its packaging; barring changes to its colorway or the graphic it sports, the shoe box is largely the same as its always been: a small cardboard box. In an attempt to re-imagine the ubiquitous design, Berlin-based agency Scholz & Friends came up with a unique design for Nike. Highlighting the Air cushioning oft championed by the brand, the point-of-sale packaging sees the kicks encased in a Nike Air-branded cushion – much like those that cushion the shoe boxes themselves and prevent damage during shipping.

Nike Air Force 1 “Downtown Spike” White

The Nike Air Force 1 Downtown returns in it’s most marked departure from the original yet with this white on white edition. Crafted out of a combination of tonal white leather panels, the upper is studded with metal spikes on the heel panel, toe box and side panels. Adding a touch of contrast to the snowy-white upper is an ice blue translucent sole. The shoes are priced at ¥16,800 JPY (approximately $177 USD) are currently available for pre-order over at Yamaotoko.

CIROC X G-Shock Breathalyzer Watch

Sean “P.Diddy” Combs has successfully transferred his hustle in music to his newest ventures in entrepreneurship. Today, CIROC and Casio’s G-Shock have announced that they will be collaborating on a breathalyzer watch. CIROC and Diddy have always been advocates for responsible drinking – hence, the side of the transparent watch will feature a built-in breathalyzer that shows your blood alcohol content on the watch’s face. The watch is set to be featured in three colors – all of which resemble CIROC’s signature color gradient found across its bottles. With brash CIROC branding on the watch mixed with the functionality of a breathlyzer, the collaborative watch will surely be a conversation starter next time you’re out on the town. The CIROC x G-Shock Breathalyzer Watch will be available at select G-Shock retailers starting August 2.

Nike Sets To Release The Vandal Clog

Having released the technical Solarsoft Mule earlier this year, Nike draws some inspiration from its design vaults to create a slip-on veteran sneakerheads can vibe with for the summer. Dubbed the Vandal Clog, this model comes complete with the Vandal‘s signature nylon upper and classic cupsole, however its height is chopped down to where the famous striped Velcro strap now rests on its instep. NSW made sure to add some premium material upgrades to maintain both breathability and comfort in various environments. ‘Entourage’ Movie Among 31 Projects Approved for California Tax Credits

Yesterday, the California Film Commission announced that the Golden State will be issuing $100 million in tax credits to a group of 30 qualifying projects with the hopes they maintain production in state. Although not all will receive a credit, among the qualifying projects feature film Entourage seems to be leading the way for a bid. Having already obtained the green light from Warner Bros. back in January, the feature version of HBO’s Hollywood-based series was always going to film at least a portion of its big screen debut in California, however now it will be doing it with a 20% tax credit. Based on info provided by its applicants, the Commission estimates the total sum of all projects will spend more than $771 million in state, including more than $290 million in qualified wages, employing around 2,980 cast members, 3,730 crew members and 80,680 extras/stand-ins. Other applicants include MTV’s Teen Wolf series, Justified, The Bundheadsand many more.

New Pagani Zonda Revolucion !!!

The latest evolution of the brand’s beloved Zonda, Italian sports car manufacturer Pagani unveiled the final version of its brand new Pagani Zonda Revolucion to friends and clients at its Vanishing Point 2013 – the International Pagani event. Weighing just 2,358 lbs thanks to a carbon-titanium monocoque chassis, the Revolucion packs an insanely powerful 6.0-liter V12 under the hood – capable of 800 hp and 538 lb-ft of torque. According to Pagani, the Revolucion’s six-speed sequential transmission allows drivers to shift between gears in as little as 20 milliseconds while a 12-step traction control system keeps the beast glued to the pavement as a tweaked ABS system allows for a variety of driving styles. Furthermore, the rear wing’s newly implemented Drag-Reduction-System can be operated both manually (via the steering wheel) and automatically, thus engaging two different downforce settings. Finally, a Brembo breaking system boasts F1-derived CCMR discs that are 15% lighter than previous CCM discs and are stiffer while offering lower operating temperatures, thus resulting in a longer life span. Tailor-made for the track at Pagani’s San Cesario sul Panaro atelier and meant to offer pure speed at circuits across the globe, the Pagani Zonda Revolucion is now available for a cool $2.9 million USD.

Mac Miller x Neff 2013 Spring/Summer Collection
