Helmed by Brad Bird (director of cult children’s classic The Iron Giant among other films), the Mission Impossible franchise is back with more beautiful women, deadly explosions, international intrigue and high-design super-cars than ever before. This time around, Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt character finds himself deep undercover as a “ghost protocol” agent posing as a terrorist. Supported by Jeremy Renner (of The Hurt Locker fame), Ving Rhames and Josh Holloway (aka Sawyer from Lost), Cruise is still jumping off skyscrapers and engaging multiple bad guys in hand-to-hand combat all without managing to get his tux dirty. Written by J.J. Abrams, the release of Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol‘s trailer is certainly an exciting development for fans of action blockbusters.

New from Nike 6.0 comes an extreme sports video entitled “The Chosen” as well as some fascinating behind-the-scenes insight from its star athletes and producers. According to director Lance Acord, the inspiration for the piece was the question: “How do we take these different riders and make them a part of a band – take what they do and put it on a stage?” The sport/art hybrid film emphasizes that self-expression can be achieved through many different channels including music, sports, painting, graffiti, cinematography and more. Definitely worth checking out!

As an emerging arena for youth culture and skating, Nike SB’s recently released “Support Your Local” video utilizes China as its urban playground in an extensive cut. China’s own eclectic surroundings combining contemporary foreign archeitecture with that of its own age old buildings makes for some creative backdrops.
