As one of the original members of the Wu-Tang Clan, Raekwon the Chef has been ranked amongst the top MCs of all time. To commemorate a high point in his career and the success of his latest album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…Pt. II, the recording artist has teamed up with Meister to release a set of limited edition watches. The black and gold Meister CL2 model features a stainless steel case with Japanese six-hand chronograph quartz movement and a scratch resistant mineral crystal lens. Limited to a run of only 200 pieces, the watch is priced at $280 USD and can be purchased online through Meister.
A new pair of Blazer Highs make their way to select Nike SB accounts this month. Produced with a rugged, premium leather, the shoes pair a distressed brown upper with volt accents coming via suede swooshes, while white highlights are seen on the midsoles and inner lining. The Pool from Nike was more than a BMX comp, it was one of the most extra-ordinary gatherings of the BMX community this century. From the draining of a soon-to-be-demolished local authority swimming pool in Dagenham, East London, into a world class park in less than two weeks was a feat in itself, but to see the diversity and level or riding on display at the launch event was truly remarkable. 40 international riders with a brand new team format saw non-comp riders, veterans, street destroyers and park animals all throw down into something far better than they could have dreamt of.
